I feel like the keyboard on my SXPS13 was MUCH brighter than the keyboard on my SXPS16.

I also had an icon pop up on the RHS of the screen that told me the keyboard light level (it would pop up when changing intensity 'off', '1', and '2').

I don't have an icon pop up on the 16, and the keyboard looks much dimmer overall.

Is there an updated utility to fix that, or something to increase the brightness of the keypad?

    Thanks!

*note* looks like Dell will have to send out a technician to replace the keyboard. The "a" key works intermittently. Do you think that will help the keypad brightness issue?

You can adjust the keyboard brightness with Dell Quickset. Search for Windows Mobility Center in Windows Explorer and you'll find it. I'm pretty sure default is the highest setting. There are 3 settings: off, dim, bright.

Hmm, it was at full bright. Oh well, I guess this is as good as it gets...

    Thanks for the tip!
