Hey guys,
I just ordered my XPS 16 today, but no info regarding the charger type appears anywhere on the config/confirmation screen as far as I can tell.
I noticed that many people who have had throttling issues managed to fix the problem with the 130W chargers, and there doesn't seem to be any major disadvantage with getting one.
My question is: does the laptop ship with a 90W or a 130W charger by default? When I asked a rep he didn't sound like he knew what I was talking about, so I wasn't able to find out which one I'm getting... any comments are appreciated!

I think they ship with 130W chargers now, at least the UK ones do.
The US site annoyingly doesn't say -
Mine came with the 130W

It depends on what you ordered. 1647's will come with 90w and 1645's will come with 130w.

Thanks for the info. But the Dell Canada site doesn't say whether it's a 1645 or 1647; any idea how to tell - from the components, maybe?
Edit: Found it - Had to toggle down the full components view, and even then it's somewhat hidden. Under a list of 30 or so configuration specifications, it's hidden among:
"RESOURCE DVD,BACK-UP,MDSN,XPS 1645"
Kinda wish Dell would make it clearer which model you get without having to dig so deep, but oh well. Thanks again for the replies! -
1645 is quad core i7 720 820 740 840
1647 is dual core i7 620 and all i5's -

Got mine a week ago and it came with the 90 watt. They sent the wrong cord though that goes from the wall to charger, they sent 130 watt overnite. I did get mine from outlet site.
