    Hola!

So, still attempting to wait patiently for my 1640 to arrive from Dell... since they're only shipping it with 3GB of memory (my 1530 has 4GB of DDR2-800, but that's because I actually installed that myself. It only shipped with 2GB, so Dell's well within their power to ship my 1640 with 3,) I'm looking to upgrade to some name-brand DDR3, none of this Hynix (or whatever it is) low-rep bull.

Here's my dilemma... I didn't do my research on the M1530 and slapped in the 800mhz memory, which... OF COURSE... the motherboard downclocked back down to 667. So, figured I'd read up on the 1640 before I drop a much larger penny for DDR3. Is the 1640's motherboard capped at 1066, or can I buy some 1333mhz DDR3 to pop in there?

I don't want to buy 1333mhz if the computer can't run it, because I'll be able to find 1066-rated chips with a lower CAS latency for cheaper.

Thanks for the help guys! (If you REALLY want to be nice, you can help get my hopes back up. System exchange started 1/17... how much longer do you think I have to deal with my throttling 1530?) =<

    Thanks again. =P
