    Hi,

My laptop LCD has some scratches on it, nothing huge, but still annoying none the less and was caused from other people in my family using my laptop and not cleaning hands etc. There is also what appears to be something stuck (like a piece of dust or dirt) because I can see it on the screen and then projected back on towards the actual LCD. Will any of this be covered under my still active complete care warranty? Its an xps 1640.

    Cheers!

I tried to take some but it's really difficult to see anything at all. However the scratch and dust mark are easily seen by the human eye.

Well I actually just got my screen replaced due to dust behind the screen, however the tech who did it installed the screen incorrectly.. so now I have a brand new system on the way (3-4 weeks bleh).

If they replace mine with a 1 year limited warranty they will more certainly replace yours.

If they refuse ask to speak with their supervisor, and if it all comes down to them saying no lie about other problems and say you would rather have a replacement than have to deal with more issues in the future.
