So the other day, i was happily playing Left 4 Dead when the screen flashed with random lines and went out. Called up dell, they sent an entire new top case which was installed today (another LG panel, YAY!), but it still doesn't work :( Windows doesn't detect the monitor at all, but VGA out works..

The motherboard and basically everything in the bottom half of the computer was replaced about a month ago after water was spilled on it (covered by completecare).. i'm thinking the refurb board was no good

Dell is sending me a box to Depot it back, but does anyone wanna give a shot as to what went wrong? :D

Brand new lcd cable :p they sent an entire top assembly, video card seems to work fine because i can still use everything normally via VGA out.. unless theres another pathway for videocard->monitor

take care of your laptop? (even if you have warranty and complete care, sending it for repairs is way too troublesome....)

the nvidia GPU problems might not be your fault, but still.... pretend your laptop is your baby

I do :( water spill was the result of some foolish people playing around my room when i was at the bathroom >.>

i totally forgot about the nvidia problem O.O.. could that actually be the cause? i thought the entire GPU would die and if it did, i shouldn't be able to play L4D on an external monitor xD
