EDIT: omg, i feel awful for posting this since there's a thread on this very same issue a few pages back! please ignore, i'm going to go read that other thread!

Okay, first off, sorry for sounding dumb but I really don't know much about computers so hopefully someone can help. I also hope asking this is okay!!

I got my XPS 1330 in March and a few days ago, I started having issues with the display/screen. Basically, first it will freeze, then it will into these thick vertical lines (they are blue-ish). Then it will either go to black or these multi-colored vertical lines (happened today). The computer will still be running and I can't do anything, so I have to turn it off/restart. This has been happening almost everyday. I already called tech support, and installed BIOS12 and the driver update for my monitor. I also ran the PSA test (although only half way, but everything passed). Does anyone know what's wrong? Do I need a new LCD?

(btw, I'm attaching pictures I took of the screen when it happens to provide a visual)

I will be calling tech support again anyway, but thought I'd try here first since I am so frustrated!!

Ah, thanks! I briefly scanned the forum and noticed a lot of talk about the faulty Nvidia GPUs, but didn't know what a GPU was. I will call them.
