I see from the post that the Full HD seem to have some qlitches. How are the 720p working out? Is there a real diffrence between the 2? Would I be fine with the standard 720p screen? Im not using it for movies or gamming, do you still recommened the Full HD? Thanks!!

some had problems with failing drivers for videocard. Screen does not have any glitches itself - it is really the best

Well I had a glitch: a bright green stuck pixel. That can happen to any monitor though. I'm reluctant to send it back for repairs cause I'll be without a laptop for a while. I still need to get a 2tb external so I can make a clone of my harddrive before sending it back. I spend 2 weeks setting it up, and that's not something I want to lose.

Back on topic, yeah it's really the nicest laptop screen I've ever encountered. It's extremely bright (good thing).

Bummer. Have you tried to "unstick" it? I haven't had to use it myself, but I've heard of success stories with UndeadPixel. Here's a link to it on CNET Downloads:

What kind of service plan did you get? Usually Dell will send a technician to your house to conduct simple repairs, like swapping a LCD panel, so you shouldn't have to send it off. Whether or not Dell considers one bright pixel to be a defect worthy of replacement is the real question.

I didn't upgrade the service plan, I just have the basic 1-year one. I did try to use some pixel massaging programs, I also tried to massage it with a pen (turn monitor on/off while putting pressure) etc. I called Dell, they said they would ship me a box, I don't have an in-home plan. Their policy on XPS laptops is 1 bright pixel (stuck pixel, always lit) or 6 dead pixels (black, non-lit pixels). I qualify because of the bright pixel.
