    Welcome everybody. This is my first post here.
    I am looking for DE17 frimware for my ST9250421ASG for my XPS 1530. Dell has stopped suporting this disk. I can't find a working download. I've spent past 4 hours looking for it. Would anyone out ther be so kind and help me? Or maybe even upload it somewhere? :D Thanks in advance.

    they did supply it for a while, but now this is what you find:

    Drivers & Downloads

    seagate says, dell has to deliver, but dell says, they no longer support this hdd.

    my warranty has ended. I am using hdparm to stop hdd spin-downs (fameous clicking issue), but i'd rather update the firmware that fixes this problem.

    ps. I kind of can't believe that a file can dissapear from the web without any trace (mirrored somwhere). :)

    wanted to let you know that I scoured Dell's FTP for this file, it's been completely removed there as well. also google'd around for it a bit (which I'm sure you did anyway) but couldn't find it. only option I can think of if noone around here has it is to get on P2P networks and search for someone possibly sharing that file or something.
