I recently ordered one of these (signature), but I'm concerned about a few problems I might have, so I'm sort of mentally preparing myself to deal with them if any of em happen

    1) How many of you M1530 owners had that keyboard bulge? Was dell nice about fixing it?

    2) How often does a system come not properly put together (screws missing, covers not put on properly)

    3) To how many of you did something like the motherboard or HDD die within a month of delivery?

    4) HOW LONG DID IT TAKE to receive your laptops from date of order? Sadly, my LED screen and probably something else made the ESD pretty far away. It's annoying. I check order status at least 39 times a day. (Ordered 7/24, ESD 8/12). To how many of you did order come early, or get delayed beyond ESD?

My original ESD / time was about 8 days...There was a part on back-order so Dell had to *cancel and refresh my order*...This put the actual build and delivery about 3 weeks ;) :)

    ^^^That would've been my only gripe...but once I received it, I was overjoyed! ;) :)

    Hoping this helps you!

    Cin ;) :)

From what it sounds like, a majority have the keyboard bulge whether small or large, though there are people who don't mind depending on how big the bulge is. My first M1530 had a bulge, but my second unit was flawless.

Should also be rare. From my experience with Dell, I have always received a flawless unit except for my first M1530 which did not have covers put on properly, though it did include all the screws. The notebooks was also not level at the base, among other things, but my replacement was flawless and arrived very quickly. I got to hang onto the unit being replaced while I was waiting too and Dell pays for all the shipping to and fro. :)

This is also very minimal and if it happens, it is typically caught within a week, though Dell's policy is 21 days return/exchange no questions asked so its all good. HDD die has never been an issue that has ever been brought up before. Again, if you want actual stats.. you'd have to get them out of Dell. Defects might happen every once in a while, you just have to be lucky. Large majority are fine.

Mine originally was a whole month due to delays in processor, battery, and video card. Thankfully though it was a large overestimate and I received my notebook in about a week and a half. I was very happy. ^_^
