Ok... so I think I might pull the trigger on it. Should I get the SXPS from Best Buy?

I configured a SXPS 1340 for $1334 with LED and 9500M. THe BB XPS1340 is similar but with a CCFL and 9400M for $900. Is it worth the $434 difference?

How bad is the heating issue with the 1340? How are the fixes for it?

That is exactly what I did about a month ago! Heating issue is not bad when you have it running in "power save" mode. It does heat up a bit in "high performance" mode. If you get it, make sure you get the most recent drivers. As far as audio problem goes, I just have the default windows driver installed and it works perfect. I lose the HDMI sound but, oh well.

The 9500m is really good to have. Id get the dell version. The led will save battery life and will be brighter. The 9500m GE is also pretty good at running games at lower settings

Get one from the outlet. I got a 9500m, P8400, LED for 78x after tax and free shipping. Just have to wait for them to show up.

it all depends with what you feel is important in your system and how long you plan to use it.if you like to get a new laptop every year or so, the best buy should be fine, if you plan on using it longer, you should get the dell with the faster proccesor and graphics card, as it will hold up better preformance wise after time. Also the LED is really nice, but again its up to you if its worth it not, for me it was.

Thanks guys I found a 1340 on Dell Outlet for about 8-something with LED and 9500M I think. It wasn't listed as a 9500M though, it was just a 256MB NB9M-GE. Is that a 9500M?
