    Hey all,

I've been thinking lately of upgrading my L501x to 8gb RAM. I currently have 4gb and the upgrade to 8 gb is realitively cheap - only around £50. My only real concern is the installation. I changed RAM on my desktop before, but never a laptop. Anyone know how you do it? I use Photoshop a lot and and also FSX and will be using Microsoft Flight when it comes out, so I'm pretty sure its worth the upgrade.

    Thanks

Yes with programs like Photoshop, you'll want as much RAM as you can get your hands on.

    Documentation

Dell's service manual for RAM on the XPS 15 R1. It's a pretty simple upgrade.

More RAM is always a good thing. Might as well upgrade while prices are on the cheap side. Super easy to do on the XPS line.
