    Hi Friends

I'm waiting for a SXPS16 to buy and tracking it for a couple of months (I do not need it immediately, but by end of this year only).

I just want to know should I place an order on Black Friday [(27th Nov'09), if they have any offer] or should wait till Xmas for more discount/offers ?

I'm sure many of members here have years of experience with Dell offers. And want to know when does Dell give more discount, either on Black Friday or during Xmas ? And also is there any TAX FREE shopping on Black Friday ?

I'm asking this coz, many times Black Friday registered as the busiest shopping day in USA than Saturday before Xmas and Cyber Monday (source : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Friday_(shopping) )

    Thank you.

    Wikipedia is no reliable source.
In the German wikipedia it says that the blackfriday is not the busiest shopping day in the usa. In fact its just place number 5 haha.

I used to be in a retail business for a while, and can tell you dont buy it on Black Friday and dont buy in on Chirstmas, buy it about a week after christmas. The main reason is this: from black friday---> christmas is the biggest shopping season in US.. and right after christmas NO ONE is buying anything because people spent too much money on gifts and all bussiness men go crazy during january and february months! So all stores drop the prices dirt cheap around january!

I got mine when they had one of the 419$ discount offers with lots of upgrade stuff. They aren't going to discount the bottom price, I don't think. Just wait it out till they have a discount between 400-600$ and grab it then. That'd be my suggestion, if they have one between Black Friday and Christmas then you could get it then, otherwise I'm sure they'd have one after. :D

Im not suggesting go to bestbuy or a retail store, buy online,, its same logic for online, they wont run out of laptops and if they do, get it for a good deal and then just wait on delayed shipping.. Im not sure how dell.com works Im disapointed in dell systems.
