First, my drive is very load when I insert a CD or when i eject a CD.
Second, when im watching a video file (not from CD but Hard drive), and eject the CD in the drive, the video starts skipping and stalling during the ejection. Does ejecting a CD really use up that much CPU? Any thoughts?

    1. Yeah, mine is like that too. That's a slot loader for yah.

    2. Same. I think you'll just have to get used to it. You're not the only one.

I know that on the m1330, Dell released a new BIOS which eliminated the stuttering which occured when ejecting or inserting a CD or DVD.

My laptop would also stutter, and the computer would basically freeze up for a few seconds, upon ejecting a disk.

Once I updated my BIOS (it's now on A11, but I believe an earlier BIOS for the m1330 actually addressed this issue) it's completely gone. Ejecting disk doesn't negatively affect the computer.

Not sure if Dell has new BIOS for the m1530 which addresses this problem.
