    it doesn't snap as well as it should. I remember my old hinge had some sticky substance that stuck it together for a better connection. I asked Dell tech support and they have zero idea what that might be. Does anybody here care to give it a guess?

    If you mean the front bazel, I think you need to pull the tape inside the bazel before you snap it into the screen. It label like 3M.

    i didn't get any 3M tape, but I am wondering if I can use something like rubber cement, i'm not too sure how safe that is

    i wouldn't it may turn the plastic white when it dries. go to a local auto store and get the thin 3m tape it will be much safer and be able to be removed later if needed

    hey zaactor, what is the thin3m tape your talkinga bout? I kind of wish double sided tape will work but it doesn't. Oddly enouhg, I think the hinge doens't stay together becuase my LED is too wide for my hinge, it's been poking itself out.

    Anybody else know of any adhesive?

    ca glue would hold but you would never get it apart later..

    i was thinking something with the same consistency as that type of sticky adhesive you find sticking your things inside magazines and newspapers, but i remember it was a lot more liquid
