So much power limit throttling since creators update?

At least, I really seem to think it's related to creators update. I realize I can use intensive applications like Lightroom, Photoshop and a video editor, but it's gotten to the point where it's basically hard to NOT power throttle when working. After my repaste+thermal pad job, I actually found it difficult to get it to throttle. I could run the XTU stress test and it just wouldn't throttle. Now I get throttling down to 0.8Ghz which effectively leaves my laptop unusable. Am using the laptop on a glass table surface

The one suggestion I've come across is to disable that intel thermal framework drive, but I've heard it's notorious for re-installing itself AND that it's not exactly smart/good to remove it in the first place...

What gives? The ONLY other thing I can think of, is I lost my power adapter and got a new one direct from Dell - it's looks identical and is listed as 130W, it simply came with the EU plug instead of USA (am in NZ right now).

I can't even seem to figure out a way to perhaps do something like have my laptop operate at 80% so that it wouldn't EVER throttle, because at least 80% is better than virtually unusable...
    Surely this problem is solveable?

Was just doing some work in my video editor, and not sure why the throttling suddenly kicked in? Seemed the usage was "steady" for long enough, so why the sudden kick-in?

Try undervolting the CPU to reduce the frequency of seeing power limit throttle.

Nothing has changed regarding performance for Creators Update vs. earlier Windows 10 builds. Will give exactly same performance. But if you run an upgrade, and not a clean Win 10 install of latest build, you risk run into problems.

Test Cpu with CINEBENCH R15. Then test with Aida64 Stability stress test. Follow the guide properly and post results with pict. You will also find a guide *how to use ThrottleStop* in the same link.

    FYI.
How Dell cripple performance explained by Notebookcheck. Buyers of notebooks has to stop buying trash!! If not, exactly more of the same will be pushed out and without changes to the better. This is up to the buyers!! Ask for trash... You get trash. That simple!!

Edit. Post pict from tests as (before tests being termined). And use High performance profile. Not any home created, OEM's own crippled power profiles or Windows power saving or balanced power profiles in Win power plan.
