Hey guys, looking at the heatsink assemblies on the M1330, it looks like there is a lot of space between the heatsink and heat pipe on the GPU. Would filling up that space with solder increase the heat transfer greatly?

Not really...not to mention it voids your warranty.

Does that copper sheet mod thing in between the gpu and heatsink void the warranty? You would have to remove the thermal pad, so what would you do if you send it in for repair work?

Remove the original thermal pad carefully with a blade. Keep it safe somewhere.

with the copper mod, and along with a notebook cooler powered by USB.. how low do you think the temps would go?
