My girlfriend ordered the same system I did except in pink. So she got an email saying that her order has shipped, and it started in Nashville TN just like my order did.
WE LIVE IN SOUTHERN AL. Keep that in mind.
SO, on the second day of shipping - instead of her order going south to Pensacola FL like mine did, it went to MICHIGAN, wtf? Someone rationalize this for me please?

Probably just got sent out with a bunch of orders headed that way. i.e. probably saves money on shipping cost. I wouldn't worry, as long as it arrives on time.
And why would you order from Dell if they scare you? ....... -
LOL@

My XPS started 4 hours northeast of where I lived, and then went 4 hours southeast (so 8 hours south). Finally, it went 4 hours west and arrived in the next city over. Strange. Then again Reno, NV and Fresno, CA are shipping hubs, while I just live next to a facility.

Ah, the power of pink!!! Always likes to go on a ride when there is an opportunity! ;-)
Seriously, as long as you get it on time, I wouldn't worryJust track the package and see if you are gonna get it on the estimated dd
Cheers.

dont worry... the tracking system isnt that sensitive.... u'll get ur laptop sometime
-
For me, the tracking system said nothing, but on the day of the Estimated Delivery date, my computer hops randomly from Tennessee to Kentucky to Maryland in 3 minutes time based on the tracking info. I got my order and tracking updated after it. So yes, its inaccurate.

It's possible the route yours took was over capacity when hers shipped. So they just send it another route.
Someone make sense of this.....
