I upgraded to IE9 on my XPS 15z, but found the following issue:

Everytime when I click a link to show its content to a new window, I have to press F5 (refresh) in order to get the contents displayed, otherwise, it won't show anything. I tried to install it again but got the same problem.

Can any one here advise what could be wrong and how to fix it?

    Many thanks!

There's the real issue. There are a massive number of issues still with IE 9 compatibility. There's a reason it's called Internet EXPLODER :D

I've heard of some issues with IE 9 that aren't resolved yet, I think yours is one of them.

seriously, the problem sounds like its just IE9 have you tried Chrome or Firefox?

but it really does sound like it might just be a over zealous pop-up blocker or something, check the extensions

I uninstalled IE9 and let it go back to IE8 after rebooting. This problem is gone, however, under IE8, when I try to launch a new website by clicking the tab next to the existing IE window, it just prompts me the following errors:

Internet explore has stopped working, windows can check online for solutions, ....

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Did you completely uninstall IE 9? My guess is Microsoft didn't clean up after itself correctly and is trying to run IE 8 with some of the IE9 files.

This is why browsers need to be separate from the OS...MS won't go there though.

I did uninstall from installed update/program, where else I can check if IE9 is completely removed?

Well that ought to have done it, but one never knows. Did you reboot before installing IE 8 back?

I've never tried reverting IE versions. Granted I pretty much never use IE anyway.

I've had this problem before, and I believe I solved it by upgrading to the latest nVidia drivers for my graphics card. IE9 uses the graphics card for acceleration and I found this fixed my issue
