    Hi there all,
A few seemingly serious faults with the goings on in my computer.

It started: when I clicked on Word files. Error said:
This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Creat an associated in the Set Associations control panel.

Next, I can't use System Restore,
    Then McAfee stopped working.

Well, from there, I restared but then more errors and things came up.
It took ages to start up to.

Instead of typing in all the error messages I photographed them.
    See attached.

    They include:
McAfee Network Agent stopped working and was closed.
Your computer is not fully protected.
Failed to connect to Windows Service

    Can't think what to do.
I've run diagnositcs and all hardware seems to be fine.

    Any suggestions?

It could be a failing hard disk causing corruption. Look at the system event log to see if there are any disk related errors.

May I suggest NOD32 for future protection? Although you'd have to pay whereas your McAfee probably came free with the laptop :p.
