Did you immediately power off your notebook and try to dry off run off? Worst case, buy a new keyboard.

Have to give it time to dry completely before using....a couple minutes won't do it.

Right. Leave it at least for two-three hours and don't forget to remove the battery.

2-3 hours? Hell I would leave it for 24 hours... in the biggest bag of rice I could find. Okay so maybe not rice :p

If you cause a short because you're impatient, you will regret it. I wouldn't even have the battery attached or it plugged in.

the keyboard seems to not work properly every time the first time i boot it up each morning but after a few mins of blow drying it works properly for the rest of the day, have i short circuited it?

when i tried to log into steam this morning, random keys were being pressed constantly and some random windows opened and then closed and then steam closed on its own :(

Have you tried to take off your keyboard? When I dropped my mobile phone in to the water it took me few months to get 'Menu' key start working as it should. So maybe it's a matter of time.

Hmm, I spilt coke on mine about a month ago.
I just wiped most of it away and then turned it upsidedown (so the water didn't go too deep inside), and it was fine the next day (apart from some slightly sticky keys).

I'd say just leave it turned off for a while, with the battery out. Maybe try taking the front off and using a hair dryer?

My son spilled a glass of water on his M11 and it would power on and that it. It needed a new cpu.
