So what settings can you guys handle this game with the 5730 card? I think there might be something wrong with my laptop since I can only handle 1920X1080, Ultra textures, everything else low.

There is something wrong with your laptop. You should be able to run with shaders on medium, 1920*1080, most of the available settings on high or ultra (lighting will be locked), and at least 50 fps at game start. Probably more with the 5730 card.

By changing 2 or 3 variables, probably 70fps. http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/375107634#1 .See the part about shadowmapsize. It literally gave me a 15-20% boost in performance and there is no visual difference.

Personally, I don't find that textures improve that much between medium, high, and ultra (yes, I can see a difference, but its not huge). The shader and lighting settings seem to make the biggest difference in performance. If I remember correctly, Shaders to medium is the best compromise between performance and looks (shaders to low REALLY changes the appearance), then lighting gets locked to a certain level.

I run it at 1600 x 900 Ultra Settings, Shadows medium, Reflections off and it runs great. I have it locked at 30 fps. And it doesn't drop.

No no! That's not how it works! See here:

Your computer, any computer, when running a game, will work as hard as possible to push out as many frames per second as it can. If you do not want it to do so, lower the frame limit, not the game settings!
