    Hey guys.

Thought I would put this in as see a lot of problems on this page with the Dell XPS but I bought anyway, and Im glad I did.

My XPS has been with me now for about 9 months and I love it, looks good and have not had 1 problem, Maybe I was lucky who knows.

But for anyone considering buying one remember this.

Dell will return no questions asked, so dont worry about it.

    T8300 - Penryn

Don't you only have like 20 days to return a system?

Has the M1530 even been out for 9 months? Didn't dell just launch it in December? And are those the specs of your system?

Dont really know about 20 days.

This is the third thing I have bought from dell and never needed to return any of them.

    DESKTOP, LAPTOP AND SOME MEMORY.

But hey if its 20 days its 20 days.

But they probably would not give you a hard time like some companys I have bought from in the UK.

I think you may be speaking French or something. The M1530 has not been out for 9 months yet you say you have had it for about that long. 'About' might take into account a month or two but never 3 or more months which is the case here. Perhaps you could say you have had it for about 5-6 months.

And...unless you upgraded much of it yourself, I would guess that system has only been available for a few months tops...maybe 3.

Its like saying, "Im from Wales, England, near Canada"

HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I GOT TO SAY ABOUT 9 MONTHS

I have 2 kids and a wife that nags me everyday LOL

So excuse me if it seems like 9 months.

OK its been a few months, got a bonus in march so it was about march time.

Maybe I should get receipts before posting on this site so I get exact info for everyone to poke holes in.

I AM JUST SAYING I LIKE MY DELL, AND WAS POSTING THIS FOR PEOPLE WANTING TO BUY A NEW LAPTOP.

    (Wont bother next time)

So now we have dropped to 3 months which is what I kinda figured.

You say your married right? I would guess that if you were married for say...oh 3 years...and someone asked, you could say "I have been married for about 24 years"

    I UNDERSTAND THAT ONE EXACTLY!

EDIT: Nice system and Im a Dell fan as well...just razzin ya a bit.

Not as far as I know... Dell's XPS Warranty allows a replacement etc. at almost anytime within the first year, (unless you go for 3/4years).
    Don't know though.

for new systems I believe the no hassle return period is 7 days, for refurb systems is something like 28 days. After that Dell chooses whether they want to give you a replacement or a refund or fix it.

Here we go again...this issue has been done over and over... (joking)

New Dell Systems fall under Dell's 'Total Satisfaction Commitment' which means you can return it within 21 days no questions asked. There is a caveat which has only been upheld in rare circumstances that says you are responsible for a 15% restocking fee and shipping. In fact, the only instance I know of it being used was for a delivery refusal.

If something is wrong wih your system or there is something not functioning properly, you have a 30 day period to arrange for a replacement system to be sent. Simply, they will build you a system as a replacement within 30 days if anything is wrong. I know of a customer who has had 4 reorders before she got a perfect system.

After the 30 day period, it is Dells option to replace your system with a refurb and is spelled out in Dell policy.

Now....the Total Satisfaction Commitment and system replacement policies are not in effect in all countries but are in Canada and the US definitely.
