hello,
i hear a click sound whenever i shutdown my laptop. i don't know where the noise comes from, its similar to the mouse CLICK sound.
i have not enabled the start up n shutdown sound.
i think its must be the noise from the hard disk, i hear that noise every time i shutdown my laptop.
does anyone experience the same kind from your XPS M1530.
does it have any problem?
-
That click is your hard drive stopping
-
I have a dell d410 and I also noticed that it makes a clicking sound whenever it shuts down and I can clearly tell that it's the hard drive.
I'm pretty sure it's normal though

If you're only getting a clicking noise on shutdown, then be thanklful. For a lot of other people the hard-drive in the 1530 is ridiculously noisy - resulting in that clickiing noise either happening constantly or semi-constantly. -
hi, ty, but the noise is not often, i hear while shutting down, earlier i had WDC hdd, but that had no issue with the noise, but now i received the new replacement, this one have 320GB WDC, so just have click noise while shutting down.
does this noise have any future prob, like slowing down the drive or sth, or read write failure. just want to make sure.
does replacing the HD will helps? since my system is new one
thank you for all your reply -

It doesn't signify that there is a problem. Your drive is working as it should and thats all fine, It's just that some people find the noise quite irritating. -
On my M1530 it is constant.. I have no problems with it..

ok. thank you.
then i wont bother bout the noise, haha
thx again -
ty i got it.
