They just change "WARRANTY AND SERVICE." I don't think it is discount.

This has been discussed before. Dell changed their EPP policies around November or so of last year. The deals are often better through home purchases and when there is a discount via EPP, it is very minimal in most cases.

Buying now via EPP doesn't have the same appeal that it use to. In fact, I purchased one of my recent systems through home and got a better spec'd system than I had priced via EPP for about $200 less.

If you're patient, you can find better deals from one day to the next.

I am a student, I don't think Dell give me a deal better than regular customer. Regular customer have 3 years warranty, so they pay more than me.
Student discount have 2 years warranty, so student pay less than Regular customer
The same system, but Dell only change number of year warranty. I don't think I have any special price. I pay less than other people because my package does not include three years warranty, and done. Value of computer does not change as student pay the same regular customer price and employment price.

    it all depends...

sometimes EPP is better, sometimes Home/Business is better...

Yep i thought EPP was done with the good deals...but over memorial day i found a deal though educational EPP? for a studio 1558, I got a 4 year warranty onsite, w/Complete Care for $249 w/$100 dell gift card, and a decent discount on the laptop, I thought that was pretty good, best deal i've seen for a warranty in awhile

I noticed a good deal over memorial day as well. It was pretty decent but of course they like to limit the options with deals that good. Getting a blu-ray wasn't an option. I was still able to price the same config with blu ray on the home site for about $175 more. At any rate, good deals can be had on both sides if you take the time to browse and watch for changes.

It would be nice to get deals through EPP like in the past. I bought my XPS 16 last year with a total of 35% in savings. It was a steal. Can't get anywhere near that now but I am guessing that is probably why they changed the program because people were cashing in with huge discounts.
