Hi there, ive had a dell xps m1530 for about 2 years and i want to replace it. Now im using it to play starcraft 2 and it does good, the only bad thing is the overheating that shuts down the laptop. What do you recommend as my next laptop for gaming?

I dont want overheating and i want quality speakers.

Why don't you fix the M1530? This should save you some good money. You won't get that much of a performance gain with the M11x or Studio 14.
Clean the fan and the heatsink of your laptop and then replace the thermal paste, this should keep you away from overheating. I recommend Arctic Silver 5.

Thx a lot, i didnt knew that. Do i have to use the thermal paste in both cpu and gpu?

Is it difficult and dangerous to open the laptop and do that stuff?

Studio 1458 would do well with a US$280 GTX460 DIY ViDock (Optimus) via the expresscard slot.

Consider also a Lenovo Y460 with a HD5650+HD setup. logicbuy regularly has deal coupons for it.

If you clean the dust from the vents, and undervolt your CPU with RMCLOCK you should be fine.

Change the paste in both CPU and GPU, don't forget to clean up the old paste, then apply Arctic Silver 5.
Also, clean the fan and the heatsink as there might be some dust that blocks the airflow.
Also, this is not difficult stuff to do, nor dangerous, it is even highly recommended.
