    Studio 1535 or XPS M1530

    I am looking to pickup a cheap second laptop from Dell Outlet in the UK and am torn between the above two models.

    Obviously apart from appearance, I can get both with the same spec but the Studios come with a HD3450 and the M1530's with the 8600.

    Is there a major difference in the two graphics cards?

    Anyone owned both laptops and can recommend one over the other?

    well, the m1530 is in a bit of a problem right now. the 8600m gt in there is currently prone to failure so i suggest getting the studio 15. its better. it hasa backlit keyboard which the xps doesn't have. i own the studio 15 and i have to say that it is one of the best laptops iv ever used.

    The HD3450 is really weak compared to the 8600M. The XPS M1530 is more or less a mid-range gaming laptop, compared to the new Studios. Definitely recommend the M1530 over the Studio 15 if you're comparing gaming capability.

    I love my M1530 with the 8600M GT. That card will wipe the floor with the 3450.

    Massive difference, 3450 is comparable to the 8400m gt card option in the 1530 (though the 8600 is still weak as gaming goes)

    Ugh, I wish they gave a higher graphics card option in the Studios, at least until they released the new XPS.
