    Heard...a LOT of negative regaurding this laptop...heat issues....build quality...etc What do you think? It would fit me perfectly as a secondary backup however I have heard nothing good yet.

    My laptop was delivered on the 24th Narch, still wating for a replacement as screen is faulty.

    ETA on 2nd laptop 20th April. . temped to cancel and order one from Dell Outlet

    I think if you are already perusing the thought of purchasing one...you have halfway made up your mind ;)

    Most peep's I've seen around on the forum are pretty happy with their choice of purchasing the 1340. :)

    I have been pondering the idea of purchasing one from the Outlet these past few days. Read up on the forum a bit more about the 1340, do a few price configurations.

    You will get plenty of feedback with the thread you have created here, regarding others thoughts ~ both pros and cons on the 1340...In the end you will have to make up your own mind.

    Look at it this way ~ You can always purchase, and if it doesn't work out for you, you have 21 days from date of invoice to return for refund or replacement of a new one! :D

    Methinks you should wait until the red 1340 comes out so you can match your other ones!

    As for the 1340, I purchased one from the outlet and I'm picking it up today. I think I might post up a review once I play around with it tonight.

    Haha I realize that... I made a review for my Vostro 1700 way back when and brought the internet down with all the pictures. ;)

    I'll have a quick review up by this weekend at the latest.

    Personally I would like to see a more vibrant shade of red... but who knows its still in design.

    LOL..save the internet... ;) Try and *thumbnail* those pics :D You can upload em to Imageshack or Photobucket, and pick *Thumbnail* version..and it's pretty easy..or upload em here thru The Manage Attachments (file clip) option above *when editing post* and it will automatically *thumbnail* your pic's :D...

    Yeah, I think the 13 will, of course, be simply lovely in Red..!!! Dell, could use me as a Beta tester for it. I would not object in any way.. :nah:

    To the OP. If you have a Best Buy in the area they have XPS 13's on display maybe a 16" as well. I saw a XPS 13" on display at BB and I left there unimpressed. I didn't like the feel of the flat keys on the keyboard and the overall look of the laptop. Also the thing is a HUGE fingerprint magnet.
