Got my new laptop today.
Things seem good but I have one immediate concern.
Anybody know why my CPU utilization on one of my processors is pinned at almost 100% by IDT PC Audio out of the box?
-
Is IDT PC Audio the process that is taking 100%?
If so, End it, and see if you have any problems.
If not, go into task manager and look to see what process is taking all of this power. -
Out of the box with only Firefox installed,
Yes that process is running one of my two Cores at 100% meaning my overall processor utilization is at least 55-60 when sitting idle.
I want to know if anybody else is seeing the same with this process on their sXPS 13. -
Had the same problem. I just reinstalled the IDT Audio driver and the problem was gone.

Yep that seems to have fixed it for me.
