    Is this model really As problematic and overheat prone as i hear? I would really love one as a portable unit.

    Uhm, I just got mine and I enjoy it. There are a few quirks but nothing too bad. I'm hoping to get a review up tonight of it. :)

    Most of the major issues iv'e heard about (even on dells own website) Is Overheating/Build quality.

    So far the build quality on this thing is pretty good. Everything is solid and tight.

    The one part of this laptop does get fairly hot though.

    Awesome machine. Well built - my experiences are the opposite of any problems people have had. My only qualm is drivers for the gpu, they dont squeeze out the power at all.

    Heat - it gets hot on your lap IF you leave it on high performance. When you activate the integrated graphics, its not hot at all. So if you play games on your lap, don't buy this machine.
