    Hello =)

    Last time i posted my problems some guys here helped me very fast :) Thank you for that. My english is not very good because im from germany but i will try to tell you what the new problem is.
    I dont know if it is the right word for my problem but the notebook beeps ... its a sound like "piiieeep" .. a very high pitch sound. But the sound is very silent ... you can hear it when the fan is off. But everytime when the fan is off i hear the sound ... that make me crazy .... what is the reason for that ? I think the sound comes from the right side of the notebook near the power cable.

    The second Problem is the WLAN ... my wlan connectivity is very very low ... with another notebook i have full connectivity and with the sxps13 i got no connectivity or very low. Is that normal ?

    Third thing is ... sometimes in irregular intervals the screen goes black for less then 1 second and then the normal screen comes back.

    These are my problems - would be very happy if you can say me what to do ;<

    The sound might be CPU whine. It's normal - most of the Core 2 Duo processors have it, but some more than others. My M1340 doesn't really have it but my older laptop did. The CPU is more to the left side of the laptop though, and the whine should only start when it's in a low power state - like, when you're not doing anything intensive and it's lowered the CPU speed.
    I seem to remember that you can disable the lowest power state to get rid of it - maybe someone else can confirm?

    The WLAN should have good reception, so maybe the antenna inside wasn't connected properly. Someone in the main 1340 thread had non-working WLAN as well.

    Okey thank you for your answer ! But i dont think its the CPU whine, because the CPU is on top of the notebook on the left side, right ? Now when i lift up the notebook i can hear that the beeeeeeeep comes from the button (right side) ... thats really strange.

    I marked it on a picture:

    Davexps,

    I had low wireless connectivity as well, which I fixed with an updated driver from here. Download the latest one. When updating the driver, choose Atheros AR928x from the list. Now I'm getting excellent wireless reception.
