Studio XPS 13 from Micro Center - LED?

Hi all,

I'm looking at this computer:

Its a studio xps 13, model sx13-2377. I can't tell if it has the LED or CCFL screen. I can't find any other reference to this model anywhere.

The one in the store had a SEC5441 listed as the display in the device manager.

Can anyone help?

I did a search and according to h3NG, SEC5441 is a CCFL screen but of course, you need to double check on that.

Also that Micro Center site doesn't say how many MP is the integrated webcam.

For WLED screen, webcam is 1.3MP
CCFL its 2MP

 

Most likely this is the same one found at Best Buy, which means no LED screen.

 

I had that thought, except the model # is different and the Micro Center one has the 9500M.

I just bought mine from micorcenter this weekend, and was wondering the same thing.

When I got home and looked up the configuration, I was glad to find out that it does have the LED screen with a 1.3mp camera.

So the anwser is yes, it does.

But if you want to double check at the store, mine came in a cardboard box with the service tag on the side, and you can go to dells support website and look it up. You are looking for part#U538D

The description for this part is ASSEMBLY..., LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY..., 13.3WXGA, HINGE UP DISPLAY..., BLACK..., LIGHT EMITTING DIODE...


Also when I entered my store they are offering a free 2Gb thumb drive or 2Gb Sd card plus 5% off a single item each time you shop their. All I had to do was sign up for their rewards and newsletter, free of charge.

So after the 5% discount it was $1139.

 

mmm i was just at microcenter their setup is identical to bestbuy, it doesnt offer the better screen at least in atlanta it didnt..

whats the resolution your laptop is running at?
