Ever since I got my brand-new Dell Studio XPS 13 (Vista Home Premium 64-bit, Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM), which cost me a hefty $1400 (a good replacement of my crappy Acer Aspire 5100), every time I plug it in to charge when it reaches critical battery state, all the programs severely lag. Windows take forever to come up, even file menus and the internet is slowed, whether my Power Plan is on Battery Saver or High Performance or Balanced, this occurs. Initially I feared overheating, so I made small feet for the backside of the laptop to prop it up another inch and that seemed to help the heating part, but it still lags during initial charging. The only way to get around this, temporarily, is to hibernate or shut it down after plugging it in to charge and returning a half an hour or more later on, then it's fine.
Anyone else experiencing this?Or, even if not, anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Hey there,
I think that you should use the tweak guide or do a fresh install!
