The Nvidia hybrid SLI settings has disappeared from the vista power settings. I've tried and reinstall motherboard and graphics card drivers but it did not help. How do I get it again?
Are there other programs to switch on and off for hybrid sli?

Install the graphics drivers from the CD. The newer ones online seemed to remove this feature.

I've tried to install driver version a2 but it does not work
-
Install Dell Quickset

still not working after reinstalling Dell Quickset

It's been nothing but problem after problem with this thing. When I tried to e-mail them to let them know about this driver issue, they said because it isn't a hardware problem, basically they don't care! What the hell do we do, just wait for a non-broken driver to come out? The whole point of this Hybrid SLI deal is to save the friggin battery when you're on the road, which means the laptop is pretty much useless now and I'll be returning it most likely (for this and other issues). Check out the pics below:
Working before new driver was installed
No SLI options after new driver was installed

This can be fixed by following this procedure, please be aware this is assuming you are running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista. If you are running the 32-bit version then you will have to find the right driver and inf files.:
1. Download this driver from the nVidia website - http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winvista64_179.48_beta.html
2. Download this INF file - http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/infs/175series/17948_vista64/NVAA.INF
3. Run the nVidia installer so that it extracts all the files to your hard drive but cancel it before it installs the driver.
4. Navigate to the folder that the nVidia driver extracted to (C:\NVIDIA\WinVista64\179.48\IS\Display) and copy in the INF file you just downloaded (say yes to over-write the existing file)
5. Open control panel go into Device Manager, expand Display adapters right click on one of the two entries for your graphics cards and select Uninstall Driver. In the pop-up which appears make sure you tick the delete driver files. Restart the computer when asked.
6. Go back into the Device manager and again into the Display Adapters. Uninstall the driver for the other half of your Hybrid SLI graphics, remembering to tick delete driver files when asked. Then restart the laptop again.
7. Once windows reboots it will probably try and install default VGA drivers. Let it do this if it doens't automatically, it may also ask to restart again. I'd advise doing as it asks.
8. Once you're back in Windows navigate to the folder where you extracted the nVidia drivers and run C:\NVIDIA\WinVista64\179.48\IS\Setup.exe, letting it install the drivers. Restart when asked - This may take some time for it to start up again but it should get there eventually.
9. You should no find you have the latest nVidia graphics drivers and your GPU options should be back in Power Settings! -
I now seem to be getting really bad UI performance in Windows with both cards enabled. It's fast when using the 9400 but when I enable both it is really sluggish and 3D performance drops through the floor. Has anyone else seen this sort of thing when using 179.48? -

#7 I have not tried your solution. But I finally got it working by installing bios A2 (instead of A4) and dell graphiccard driver A2 (instead of A3)

I hate that when they update the BIOS and it messes with your previous settings
. Cause the BIOs is like the last thing I think of changing
