    Studio XPS 16 Parts List?

    Anyone have a parts list for the XPS 16? I'm wondering if it is possible to replace just the clear cover in front of the LCD screen. It's gotta be a pretty cheap part and under warranty I can just ask them to send me a new one if it gets too scratched.

    The Display is basically one piece. They do not consider it to be something that can be repaired in the field. If you want a new plastic cover, you will need to replace the entire screen with the housing.

    I was hoping that they did the clear screen cover thing to save on the cost of scratched screens and make it simpler. Oh well.

    Yeah it doesnt make a lot of sence but it is all glued together so they just replace the entire screen. I had my whole screen assembly replaced because the repair tech scratched the back of it up when he replaced my keyboard.
