Hi, I'm having issues getting sound to pass through to my TVs via HDMI. I've set HDMI as the default and the sound still only comes through the laptop when playing back blurays. Is there something I'm missing here? Thanks

I too have had issues with this and found the only way I was able to consistentnly get sound out to the tv was to set up the external monitor as the only display, set up the sound for HDMI then open program to play the file. But I would like to hear from anyone with tips because it is annoying.

I get this issue if I had my program (media player software) opened before connecting my TV to the laptop.

Try closing your media/Blu-Ray player/software first, then connect the HDMI cable, then open your player.

I've already tried the connection sequence thing with no luck. I will test again tonight with using the external only method.
