Hi everyone, i hope some members with experience can help me with an issue i have.

I bought my Studio XPS 1645 2 years ago and did not extend my warranty. 1 week before the first year ended dell called and offered me the complete care and Rapid Response Depot for a good deal. thank god i bought it as my 6 year old just tripped over the power cord and my lappy is dead. :( lcd is broken, case is cracked plus no power when i attach the power cord.

so here is my question, will the complete care cover this and if they will and replace the unit what could i expect to get?

    thanks

depends if complete care includes accidental damage. Have a read of your documents.

They should, wish you good luck! I'm definitely considering this "accidental damage" now hehe....

I'm just curious if Dell will be offering you a 15z or a 17 XPS.

I still haven't called, I'm nervous as i put every option on this when i bought it, i paid over 2400.00. from the leather inlay, to the blueray burner. it has it all. Or let me say had it all.

I have looked on there site and still don't know what i would want to replace it..

What you waiting for? If your not happy with the first rep you could ask to speak with a supervisor and usually get things done that way.

I've had to do it in the past and has always worked out. For the price you might be able to get an Alienware if that tickles your fancy at all. I just bought two and will only be buying them from now on. The build quality is top notch.
