I just got it few days ago and when I tried it, it smoothly run. But the following day, my sister created an account then when I clicked my profile it took a long time to load the desktop. It will go like blank screen for 10-20 seconds then the desktop will appear. The cursor is there btw even if it's blank screen. A notice appears and says Windows Desktop Update blah blah and disappears in a second. Any solutions to this? Did my sister's account made the desktop loading longer or other stuff?

Sounds like you need to delete her account and forbid her from ever touching this fantastic machine ever again.

do you knwo what your sister installed in her account?

account creation shouldn't affect other people's accounts unless they've installed a lot of software with the "Install this program for all users" option enabled (or whatever that option is called).

as lordlexus says, delete her account and then try logging into your account again. also, check your startup programs. a lot of programs, if not installed properly, can hang on startup which might be causing the blank screen.

to check for installed applications, simply go to your Control Panel and open up "Programs and Features" or "Programs" (depending on your View)

to check your startup programs, Click the Start button and select "Run..." then type "msconfig". you will see a tab called "Startup", select it. in this tab you'll see a laundry list of items set to startup when you log into your Windows account. some of these items may be from programs that other users of your shared computer have installed. while you won't be able to directly see which program may be causing a problem, you'll at least know what programs have startup services, and do a bit of trial and error to find out which ones are possible culprits.

another good, and very direct, way to find out if a program may be a problem is to ask your sister exactly what she did when she created an account on your computer. she may remember what applications she installed, and from there you might be able to deduce what's going on.

    hope that helps!
