So I was watching a movie on my studio xps 1640 while it is plugged into the tv with a VGA cable, the movie froze and i shut the computer down by holding the power button, then i tried to turn it on and the lights came on, and the volume down light starts to blink, and then it shuts off.

    Can someone help me please!??

I recently installed windows 7 but I didn't install any video or sound drivers, would that be the problem? I also got a couple of blue screen of death before this happened

Wow, so after an all night and all morning/afternoon frustration, I decided to remove the RAM sticks and reinstall them, surely enough, now the laptop starts with no problem at all.. So weird but I guess that must've been the problem.. Sorry for making a new thread about this problem, but it is now fixed, Mods/Admins can close this thread.

    Thank you!
