I have a Dell Studio XPS 13 (aka. 1340) with the stock wireless-n card. It is connected to my wireless-n D-Link DIR-655 router. In my Network Sharing Center, the connected speed only shows 130mbps. Im pretty sure the DIR-655 is capable of 300mbps speeds. In the router config, I have it set to automatically use 20/40mhz. Not sure if there are other config options I should be modifying.
Anyone know if it is possible to get 300mbps out of my Studio XPS 13?

i think that u also have to change the network adapter settings under device manager. Change to "Auto" from 20 mhz under the 2.4ghz frequency. That does it for me.

Thanks, messing around the advanced settings in the device manager works. It seems to max out at 270mbps though, I still cant get 300mbps. But that doesnt bother me, it's good enough now.

it's 300mbps max... after interference, latency, physical barriers, you won't get 300
Studio XPS Wireless-N only 130mbps? How to get 300mbps? (DLink DIR-655 router)
