As the title say, anyone using DELL XPS experienced or know why do the backlit keyboard goes off when left idling for a minute?

    * My XPS 1340 backlit keyboard used to stay on even left idling for hours.

    Thanks in advance!

Set it in Windows Mobility Center or press Fn + Right Arrow (for SXPS 1640)

That will only cycle from off-low-high.

My problem is when I set it either to low or high then leave the laptop idling, the backlit keyboard auto turn off at 1 minute (idle) until I start using the laptop again.

As cheyeong90 stated, you can set it in Windows Mobility Center (if you have Dell QuickSet installed). Press Windows key + X and click the icon for the backlit keyboard. You can set the time here.

Okay bro, since you insisted cheyeong90's suggestion I gave it a try even though its already set on NEVER/OFF  (changed to auto off at 5 sec then never/off again)
What?!? The problem is gone

+1 rep to you both :)

Anyone can explain why the problem persist even after doing image restore and battery power drain?
