    Studio xps 16 9-cell Battery

    Irecieved the 9-cell battery today (studio xps 16 to arrive in two days). This does not look like the one on the dell website. This one is an 8" rectangle with about a 3" bar extending off it, this will obviously leave a gap on side of the computer. My question is will this battery being "offset" cause any stability problems with the computer? Is this opening there for a reason?
