    Studio xps 16 glare: as bad as macbook pro?

    Is the glare on this model double glare, which I mean to be: glossy screen tucked underneath another layer of glass, i.e., just like the current macbook pro?

    Regular glossy is tolerable to me, but the new macbook pro is just ridiculous to my eye. I think that the xps 16 is double glare, right?

    No it's just cheap glossy plastic that scratches easily. No glass.

    No, Dell treats the screen as one piece, incliuding the lid, screen, edge-to-edge cover, and hinges. The cover is sealed and adhered to the screen and lid. I haven't noticed the cover scratching easily on mine, but I only use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe it...
