    Studio xps 1645 overclock?

    SO i have a studio xps 1645 with the 720Qm ati 5730 and 4gb DDR3. I wanted to kow if i could overclock my gpu and cpu? It's already insanely fast but i want it to be faster.

    You can overclock the GPU with Rivatuner. I don't think you can overclock the CPU, at least not without a lot of work.

    Are your temperatures actually low enough to allow it?

    There's a difference between CAN you and SHOULD you. The hardware you have is already pushing the limit of the 130W power adapter and the cooling solution in our laptops. You could try a mild overclock, but honestly, if it's fast enough already I wouldn't bother.

    Run a game while logging your temps first to see if you have any headroom. If your CPU hits 80 or your GPU 75, you probably don't have much room for improvement.

    Ive been through cooling problems and i have a cooling pad that i fixed up with 4 fans instead of 2 so its very cool even running gta 4. i just wish it could be a little faster especially the graphics and can i ahve a good link for riva tuner?

    gotta edit Rivatuner.cfg and add your hardware id. which gpu do you have?

    Finally worked, I tested my Temps with CPUID, and overclocked the 5730 with AMD GPU Clock Tool
