Hey.
I was having fan issues with XPS 15 I bought 2 weeks ago so I called and they are sending me a replacement. Got the order number and went to check and the laptop is in production and it shows how much the laptop had cost aswell as the specs for the replacement laptop.
The price for the replacement laptop shows total $805 it has the exact same specs as my laptop and I paid about $1200 for it.
I have not received the replacement as its being made, but why is there a $400 difference between the price?

This is weird. For me, the replacement, which has the exact same specs as the orginial, costs more. I am in the US

Did you have any sort of extended warranty beyond the standard one? If so, could it be possible that they didn't apply the warranty to the new order because they just intend to transfer the old one to your new system?

Nop no special warranty....maybe I should ask Dell? Is it worth it?

This seems like it; my (extended) warranty is not listed on my replacement order.
Such big difference in price between my XPS 15 and Replacement?
