My xps 1530 has been on for about 2 hours. GPU at 95C; 202F, and noticeable slow downs are occurring.

Will Dell replace my laptop with a new one for this reason?

Those temps are really, really high. You need to take some steps to try and cool it down ~ to prevent any further/potential overheating.

Right now try cleaning the dust out (you can use Compressed Air to blast), by the fans/heatsink, etc...And, you can always get a Notebook Cooler to help out with the Temp's if needed. :)

And, yes you need to contact Dell ASAP for service on it. Do you still have a warranty on your 1530? If not, and depending on when your system warranty ended, the Nvidia extended warranty on the GPU would come into play.

Regarding the replacement, have you had any service on your lappy for the GPU problem, prior to this issue? Usually, for a replacement its 3x for service repair before a replacement..but it also depends on the issue at hand. My 1530 was replaced due the GPU failing on me more than 3x's (w/Mobo's replaced each time). And, I had to "push" firmly for a replacement on the last time it failed ~ as they wanted to replace with another.

No, only if the computer fails (fried GPU/mobo)
I think it depends on computers, my M1330 I overclocked it and temps gets 100 C before copper mod, still never fails.
