    Hey guys,

I have the Dell XPS 15, with dual graphic cards. One is Intel HD graphics, the other is Nvidia GeForce 540 M. I assume its running Optimus technology.

However, I have troubles activiating the Nvidia for when I play games. First i had the problem when playing Witcher. Updating the driver seemed to fix it. Now I am trying to play Shogun 2 Total War. Under Nvidia control panel, I have manually switched it to run Nvidia. I have also tried left clicking the application, and choosing a processor to run it with. But whatever I do, in the game's graphic options it still displays the Intel HD graphics card. Any suggestions? Is that a bug in the game?

    Thanks!

It could be you grabbed the wrong .exe for the override in the NVidia control panel. A lot of games have several .exes and often the non-obvious one is the exe. To check, run the game and then launch task manager and determine which process is the game. That .exe is the one you need to add to the control panel list.

If you have the right .exe, then ignore this :D
