Hi Guys
I had my DVD Rom running perfectly fine on WinXP until a couple of days back.
Something triggered my DVDROM to stop functioning. As checked on the part, the name of the drive is as listed:
TEAC Corp
TCJ-DV-W28SLC
I have scoured the internet for them XP drivers, but cant seem to find it. I even downloaded the updated pack that some of you guys complied for the XPS, but Device Manager fails to recognize any of the required drivers in that pack.
The device shows up with that annoying yellow exclamation mark and it just fails to work within WinXP. Can someone please help me figure out a way to get out of this problem by hooking me up with the drivers?
I did try to roll back and uninstall the drivers as well but to no avail. I also tried the Repair Windows option with the WinXP CD, but that didnt help either after 32 minutes of agonizing wait.
Please help!

Bump for more attention.
Please help. I cant seem to get this to work. -
i too was looking for the drivers but couldnt find them so i just gave up

AFAIK there are no drivers apart from which ships with OS itself , i would suggest you check drive any live boot cd , if its not working then it might be a drive problem .

The Drive was replaced and yet the problem wasnt sorted out. My guesses were just the same so I called up the guys at Dell and got them to ship me a new drive. Again, i'd like to add that I tried repairing the option with the LiveBoot CD as well, but it just fails to work.
I have no idea how the issue cropped up or started messing around, but its so annoying and it wont go away even.
TEAC TCJ-DV-W28SLC Drivers?
