I really should have bookmarked them...but I have seen a couple of posts about the TV Tuner card and people who maybe could get it to receive some channels in Windows Media Player but not others.
Well, after failing initially, I went back and tried to run the signal strength part again adjusting the mini-antennae Dell provides with the GeForce GT 555M 3GB card w/Optimus and TV Tuner. I had been totally unable to get the local ABC, NBC or CBS stations...just the 'weak' UPN, FOX and assorted transmissions. I live just outside of Nashville. I finally got some signal strength for NBC (currently watching the Cowboys get whacked by the Chargers...better than my TV!). ABC and CBS still say " There is currently no TV signal detected for this channel...etc". Perhaps it really is all about signal strength and I would suggest those haveing the problem to try again...maybe move the laptop to a different part of the house and experiment.
I am wondering if there are bigger/better antennae's that is usable with the tuner card Dell offers?
Asside from that, if I could somehow hook this up to get my regular TV's cable broadcasts so I could record certain shows, I would be one happy camper.

Still wrestling with this. Does anyone know if this (below) is the TV Tuner with the current XPS's? I can't find any documentation and am searching in the dark...mainly to see what options we have for an antennae:
