I didnt order one from dell, but are those the best and work? I want to be able to plug in a Coaxial cable or however cable TV connections work to the TV Tuner and watch TV on my laptop. If anyone knows how, please let me know. Thanks!

you might want to try one with ClearQam (unscrambled digital channels from your cable provider, but they are only under obligation to provide local digital channels thru clearqam)

i've tried Pinnacle PCTV Ultimate.... software's buggy(took 6 months to get full ClearQam support drivers, though hardware was labled clearqam ready and sold w/o such drivers)

i suggest u to try to get Windows Media Center on Vista(ultimate or home premium), its probably the best PVR-program i've used [lag free, recording schedule works, program guide free in usa...]

The nanoexpress card is ClearQam capable and it works fairly well. I still would've liked to have a separate application for the tuner because I can't get radio to work and I cannot easily switch between antenna and cable.

That looks perfect. Though I'm in no rush to get it and will probably wait till school starts. If you ever get it, please comment on how well it works. Looks like a phat USB drive. XD

I have the AverMedia Volax Max and if you don't mind it being USB this card is awesome. It's Analog (NTSC), Digital (ATSC), Clear QAM and a FM Tuner. The software it comes with is good, and it works with Vista Media Center flawlessly (Plug-in needed for VMC QAM). I got it for less then $90 from NewEgg and couldn't be happier. Works on my XP computer as well as my Vista computer.

Could you provide the link where it is on newegg? I cant seem to find it through search. I'm perfectly fine with it being USB. As long as it works flawlessly on Vista.

I've been iffy on whether or not to go ahead and purchase - reviews are a bit 50/50 and I don't even need one now anyway. I may get it closer to August when I move to my new dorm since I won't have a TV.

I want digital though - and my dorm gives me cable so I want to connect the cable connection to the laptop.

    I have this one:
    Pinnacle PCTV HD Stick
That I bought from Best Buy for $99 a month ago... I noticed today that Circuit City is selling it for $50!!!
    http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Pinn...sem/rpsm/oid/209221/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do

It works really good with Pinnacles program or Vista Media Center.
