After opening a couple windows my taskbar has an up and down arrow to scroll to the different windows. I would like all my open windows to appear across the taskbar. I have plenty of empty space on the taskbar, but can't figure out how to remove the scroll arrows.

    Thanks

that doesn't seem to be the issue. The arrows I'm talking about are not connected to window(s) that are open, the arrows I see are directly to the right of the 2 icons for windows that are open and have an up arrow and down arrow that allow you to scroll thru all the open windows. I want to get rid of these arrows in order to fill the taskbar with windows that I have open.
    hope that made sense.

when you rightclick the taskbar, you'll probably see "lock the main panel" or something very similar (sorry, i have a different language version - it should be the second option from the bottom, above the "properties"). untick this option and then you should be able to drag the "borders" (of how to call that) of the area for the windows you have open.

edit: eh, i should learn to type faster :D
